Google has a separate index for local businesses, and generic queries generate a local list. If Google confuses your local business with a generic query, customers and prospects may have a difficult time finding you.
Quote: "If you’re naming a new local or national business, be sure the name of it cannot be confused with some generic object Google might view as having a different intent."
Solas recommends that if your business already has such a name, don't rebrand but work on building authority for your brand and site.
